Ok, so maybe you are wondering WTF were we thinking making a leveling kit/lift kit for a 2wd van…well, the answer is pretty simple…we got stuck driving over 100 miles down a really crappy washboard POS logging road (the main road was on fire and it was our only way during a summer wildfire) in the camper a few years ago and it sucked, we were worried about every bump and hole ripping our black and grey water tanks and just making a mess I didn’t want to deal with considering we were at least 100 miles from civilization….

It also reminded me of a phone call I got about a month earlier after someone called and asked if we could make a lift for his campervan…

This kit has a real world application…it is not so you can fit some fancy 20’s on your van (ok you can if you want, and it does look cool). The idea was so you can fit some real rubber on those stock 16″ rims and get some more ground clearance and height so you don’t get stuck, so you don’t rip your tanks off your camper or if you are a commercial guy, so you don’t get stuck in that swamp they call a jobsite…

This kit has a real world everyday purpose…to keep you from getting stuck because the only tires you could fit are those 16″ Michelins you bought at Costco while you were getting groceries…you can still get your Michelins at Costco but now you can look at some All Terrains or even better, get some All Terrains a size or two bigger than you would normally think about!

I am dead serious, since we came out with this kit it has been a 50/50 mix of campervans and guys working commercial jobsites – all you trades guys know how much you overload your van, how much you scrape the bumpers and don’t even try and tell me you haven’t been “stuck” in some muddy jobsite…I was born last week, not yesterday :-}

Real world application, we make it with real steel from the rust belt and we do our best to make sure the kits lasts longer than you Chevy/GMC van will which is pretty hard, I knew a few guys who were at 600,000 miles on the 6.0/4l80
